Anna Mae McGinnis

Anna Mae McGinnis, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:44 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

Anna was a homemaker.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was born July 1, 1920 at Du Quoin, the daughter of Victor and Ethel (White) Rossi.
She married Connie McGinnis on April 9, 1939 at Perryville, Mo., and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1983.

She is survived by three children - Gary McGinnis and wife Sondra, Pamela McGinnis Brueggemann and husband Karl, and Jerry McGinnis and wife Kyoki, all of Du Quoin, four sisters - Mary Lou Carter, Catherine Feltmeyer, Lillian Pulke, and Angie Poe, all of Du Quoin, eleven grandchildren - Darrin Jacoby, Dale McGinnis, Renee McGinnis, Dawn McGinnis, Brandon McGinnis, Tonya Morgan, Belinda Conley, Jay McMillan, Matt Palmer, Timothy Brueggemann, and Rebecca Brueggemann, twenty-four great grandchildren, beloved friend - John Baldwin, and special family friend - Brent Aitken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister - Pauline "Babe" Cservenak.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Msgr. Harry J. Jerome officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin at a later date.
